About
The company was founded by Stephen Johnson in 1980 after learning his trade working for the Forestry Commission. The business has built up over the years by having fully qualified staff one of whom is Matthew Johnson his son who is now a partner in the business which has helped to gain lots of regular satisfied customers.
Where we are based...
We are based at Middleton on Leven which is on the outskirts of Teesside ideally situated to cover Middlesbrough, Stockton, Yarm, Guisborough, Nunthorpe, Acklam, Marton, Coulby Newham, Ingleby Barwick, Stokesley and surrounding villages but will also travel further distances if requested. Our business takes us to domestic and commercial work, e.g. trimming yearly growth off hedges or regular pruning of trees in private gardens but also commercial work for church councils, housing associations, local councils, building firms and others. We feel that leaving sites and gardens tidy is just as important as safe and neat work on trees and hedges, with this in mind we will make sure your garden is left spick and span.
The qualifications of our staff...
All our staff are fully qualified and have the relevant NPTC certificates and first aid qualifications. We provide work based training for students attending Askham Bryan College, York undertaking NVQs in arboriculture. This enables us to keep up with new techniques and skills needed in our tree surgery operations.

We have employer’s liability insurance and public liability insurance of up to £5,000,000. Proof can be seen at anytime on request.
